Here is a real example of a marked and corrected IELTS Writing Task 1 essay question.

Question
The pie charts below show units of electricity production by fuel source in Australia and France in 1980 and 2000.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant
Student’s Answer
The given chart compares the electricity production by different fuel resources in two different countries France and Australia in 1980 and 2000.
In 1980, coal was the most popular fuel resources used in Australia (50 units).The least common source was oil (10 unit).On the other hand, in France coal and hydro power was equally favourable (25units) whereas, in Australia natural gas and hydro-power used was equalled (20 units).Another fact worth noticing in this chart is France had used only half of the units of coal in comparison with Australia in the same year.
In 2000, coal was used considerably in Australia while the same method was used only 25 units in France .Nuclear power was enormously used in France (126 units) but not used in Australia .Natural gas was equally favourable by both countries (2 units).
To sum up, in general, it is noted that Australia had used only four methods of fuel sources whilst France had utilized five methods of fuel to manufacture electricity in both years.
